It was a simple ceremony, this first for Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City, on Monday, May 29, in what will become an annual tradition. All over Florida, veterans, families, friends and patriotic supporters came together to remember the fallen. As the volunteer coordinator for December’s Wreaths Across America ceremony at Forest Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Palm City, Karen Zook has taken on the meaningful, challenging task of ensuring that a wreath is placed on the grave of each of the more than 900 veterans interred there including that of Marine Cpl. Ian T. Zook, her son, who was killed in Iraq on Oct. 12th, 2004. READ MORE
