Karina was born in Lima, Peru. She moved to New Jersey in 1990 and relocated to Florida in 2011. She and her daughter are members of Christ Fellowship in Palm Beach Gardens, and both enjoy volunteering in the community.

She enjoys that her role also allows her to help people get peace of mind as she guides them through the pre-planning process. Helen has been a resident of Stuart since 1999, attends St. Andrew Catholic Church, and is a member of the Stuart Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Delta Delta.

Marty joined our staff in March 2015. He enjoys that this work allows him to help families with difficult decisions. He is a native of New York and a graduate of Sul Ross State University. He moved to Florida in 1976 and has called Port St. Lucie home since 1986. He belongs to Grace Family Church  and is active with the Palm City Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Dianne, have three sons, Mitchell, Matthew, and Michael. In his free time, Marty enjoys music, church activities and social media.

L.C. Campbell Jr., Chaplain

For 40 years, L. C. has been a fixture along the Treasure Coast. He has provided counsel, encouragement, grief recovery, crisis intervention and pastoral care. He served as Director of Chaplaincy Services with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office for 26 years. During that time, he was called to provide support and immediate counsel to families experiencing sudden loss.

Rena Rodriquez White, Cemetery Family Service Advisor

Rena began helping families at Forest Hills Memorial Park in 2011, but has more than 14 years of experience in this industry. She is a resident of Port St. Lucie and enjoys carpentry, crocheting and cooking, but most of all, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.

Steven A. Cannata, Funeral Attendant / Field Representative

Steven has worked at Forest Hills since March 2005. He and his wife, Mary Lou, work together and are often a family's first contact with the funeral home following the death of a loved one. He feels fortunate to be able to serve them during their time of need with the courtesy and respect they deserve. He is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, where he serves as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. He is currently the Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus Fr. Omer H. Brauner Council, No. 12159. He also is a member of the Elks Club and the NRA. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and singing.

Mary Louise Cannata, Funeral Attendant / Field Representative

Mary Lou joined the staff in March 2005. She feels blessed that her job allows her to assist families during a very difficult time, and believes her work has made her view life in a very different way. The New York native has lived in Port St. Lucie since 2004, and is an active parishioner at Holy Family Catholic Church, where she also serves as Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion. She is a member of the Elks Club and Port St. Lucie Anglers Club, and assists her husband, Steven, with Knights of Columbus events. She has three grown children, six grandchildren, and a very loving and funny Yorkshire terrier.

IN MEMORIAM: John H. Byrd

John loving served families in their time of need for almost four decades. A lifelong resident of Ft. Pierce, he passed away May 23, 2015 at Martin North Medical Center in Stuart. John graduated from Ft. Pierce Central in 1973 before joining the U.S. Air Force.
